⚙How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively for the following legitimate purposes:
- Order Fulfillment: Processing your purchase and delivering your licensed product — indicator scripts, download links, and access credentials.
- License Enforcement: Validating that your license is active, has not been shared, and is being used within permitted seat limits.
- Customer Support: Responding to support requests, troubleshooting product issues, and processing refund requests.
- Product Updates: Notifying you of updates, bug fixes, and new versions of products you have purchased.
- Security: Detecting and preventing fraudulent purchases, license abuse, and unauthorized redistribution.
- Legal Compliance: Meeting obligations under applicable laws and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
- Communications: Sending relevant product announcements and educational content, with the ability to opt out at any time.
We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, profiling, automated decision-making that produces legal effects, or any purpose incompatible with the above list.
🔑License Validation & Machine Fingerprinting
To protect our intellectual property and prevent unauthorized redistribution of our indicator products, SniperTrader uses a license key validation and machine fingerprinting system. Here is exactly what this means for your privacy:
- What is collected: When you activate a USME license, a one-way cryptographic hash is generated from non-sensitive hardware attributes on your device (e.g., CPU identifier, OS version). This hash is anonymous and cannot be reversed to recover personal information.
- What is NOT collected: We do not access your files, browsing history, trading data, clipboard, account credentials, or any personally identifiable hardware serial numbers.
- Purpose: The fingerprint is stored alongside your license key to enforce the two-seat limit and to detect if a license key has been shared with unauthorized parties.
- Transmission: The fingerprint is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS to our license server only during activation and periodic validation checks. It is never shared with third parties.
- Retention: Fingerprint records are retained for the duration of your active license plus 12 months, then permanently deleted.
↔Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data with third parties only in the following limited, necessary circumstances:
- Stripe (Payment Processing): Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. under their Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and order metadata — never your card details.
- Email Delivery: Your email address may be processed by our transactional email provider solely to deliver order confirmations, license keys, and product updates. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
- Analytics (Anonymized): We may use analytics tools with IP anonymization enabled to understand aggregate site usage. No personal identifiers are included in analytics data.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SniperTrader or its users.
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements consistent with applicable privacy law. We do not use your data to create targeted advertising profiles on any platform.
◉Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies. We do not use intrusive advertising trackers or cross-site behavioral profiling.
- Essential Cookies: Required for site functionality — session management, cart state, and checkout flow. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
- Analytics Cookies: Anonymized visit data (pages viewed, time on site, referral source) to help us improve the site. No personal identifiers. You may opt out via your browser settings.
- No Ad Cookies: We do not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads retargeting tags, or any other advertising network trackers on our site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling all cookies may affect checkout and product delivery flows. Most modern browsers support per-site cookie management.
⏱Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements:
- Purchase / Identity records: Retained for 7 years from purchase date to comply with tax and accounting regulations, then permanently deleted.
- Active license records (including fingerprint): Retained for the life of the active license plus 12 months after expiry or termination.
- Support communications: Retained for 3 years from the date of resolution, then deleted.
- Marketing email list (opt-in): Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Anonymized analytics: Retained indefinitely in aggregate form with no personal identifiers.
Upon license termination for cause (license violation), records may be retained longer to support any legal proceedings.
🛡Security Measures
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration:
- TLS Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS). License validation calls are similarly encrypted.
- Hashed Fingerprints: Machine fingerprints are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes and cannot be reversed to expose hardware information.
- Access Controls: Customer data is accessible only to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, protected by multi-factor authentication.
- Payment Security: We do not store payment card data. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
- Secure Credential Storage: All passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes using bcrypt or equivalent — never in plaintext.
While we take every reasonable precaution, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
