🎯 Identifying VWAP-Based Sniper Entries

The goal of The Setup is to filter out noise and only act on VWAP signals with the highest probability of success. Every entry must pass a 5-step verification process before execution.

Core Philosophy: "We don't chase price. We let price come to our VWAP zones."

📋 THE 5-STEP SETUP CHECKLIST

HTF Bias Alignment — Weekly and Daily VWAP must agree on direction. If Weekly VWAP is bullish, only take long signals. If bearish, only short. No counter-trend trading.

VWAP Deviation Band — Price must be trading at ±1σ or ±2σ from the anchored VWAP. This is where institutional orders cluster. Signals inside the VWAP core are low probability — skip them.

Confluence Score ≥ 80% — Only trade signals with ELITE (90%+) or PRIME (80–89%) tiers. STANDARD (65–79%) can be considered with reduced size. Signals below 65% are automatically discarded.

Volume Confirmation — Look for a volume spike at the VWAP band. If volume is declining while price approaches the band, the signal is weak. Institutional volume should validate the reaction.

Closed Candle Rule — NEVER enter on a forming candle. Wait for the bar to close at or beyond the VWAP band. This prevents fakeouts and premature entries.

⚡ Execution Rules — Taking the Trade

Execution is where discipline separates funded traders from blown accounts. Follow these rules without exception.

📋 THE 4-STEP EXECUTION PROTOCOL

Entry Trigger — Enter only on the open of the next bar after the signal candle closes at or beyond the VWAP band. Use a limit order at the VWAP level for better fill.

Initial Stop Loss — Place the stop 1.5x ATR(14) beyond the VWAP band on the opposite side. This gives the trade room to breathe while protecting capital. GOLD

Position Sizing — Risk 0.5% of the account per trade on ELITE signals, 0.35% on PRIME, and 0.2% on STANDARD. This keeps drawdown manageable.

Targets & Exit — Set three targets: T1 = 1.5x risk (move stop to breakeven), T2 = 3x risk (take 50% off), T3 = 5x risk (let remainder run with trailing stop).

      📈 Trailing Stop Protocol: After T2 is hit, activate a trailing stop of 1.5x ATR. This locks in profits while allowing the trade to run.

        ⛔ Hard Rule: Never add to a losing position. No averaging down. Let the trade play out or stop out.
      

🛡️ Managing Risk to Pass Prop Firm Drawdown Limits

Prop firms impose strict drawdown limits. The SniperTrader Risk Plan is designed to protect capital and ensure you stay within the limits while growing the account.

      🎯 The Goal: Reach +10% profit while keeping drawdown below 8% from the peak equity.
    

📋 THE 6 PILLARS OF RISK MANAGEMENT

Per-Trade Risk Limit — Never risk more than 0.5% of the account on any single trade. This means you can withstand 16 consecutive losses before hitting the 8% drawdown limit.

Daily Risk Budget — Cap daily losses at 1.5% of the account. If you lose 1.5% in a day, shut down the terminal and review your entries.

Weekly Risk Budget — Do not exceed 3% loss per week. This keeps you far below the 8% maximum drawdown.

Drawdown Reset — When equity hits a new high, reset your drawdown calculation. The 8% limit applies from the peak equity, not the starting balance.

Risk-to-Reward Ratio — Only take trades with a minimum 1:3 risk-to-reward ratio. ELITE signals often provide 1:5 or better.

Pause & Reflect — After 3 consecutive losing trades, pause for 30 minutes. Review your signals and ensure you're not forcing entries.
